Animal Rescue and Addiction Recovery…

How could one possibly have anything to do with the other? That’s what we’re here for, to explain and show the world how these two circumstances go directly or indirectly hand in hand. There are many similarities between one who suffers from addiction and an animal who has lived it’s life in shelters or sanctuaries. Some include being misunderstood by the general public, and having a past that has ultimately led them to the life of addiction and ending up in a shelter, a lack of self worth due to being given up on.

Our goal at RSRL is to create an environment where our residents are living a more purposeful life by helping with the care taking of our animals and gaining life skills while doing so.  And in return, the dogs will help the men and women who live or volunteer with us gain the sense of purpose they have been looking for their whole lives. We truly believe in the motto of “animals healing people healing animals!”
